5239. Healthcare Quality Improvement, Outcomes Mgmt, Assessment and Planning for Nurse Leader Practicum

2.00 credits

Prerequisites: Corequisite: NURS 5235; instructor consent required; open to Nursing M.S and D.N.P students in the Nursing Administration and Leadership and Nurse Educator concentrations only.

Grading Basis: Graded

This practicum is an examination of professionals, processes, patterns, purposes and patients (5Ps) of a selected clinical microsystem with a focus on identification of current quality improvement systems, processes and outcomes. Application and integration of concepts addressed in Nursing 5235 will be emphasized. This foundational practicum experience will inform future integration of key curriculum concepts in the advanced nursing practice specialty.
